FieldIQ ("we", "us", "our") operates the FieldIQ mobile and web applications (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use the Service.

Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and organization affiliation.
Location information
With your permission, we collect device location to:
- Verify clock-in and clock-out events at job sites (geofencing)
- Allow managers to request the current location of a technician on duty
- Record location-stamped time clock events
We collect location only while you are using the Service or, with your explicit "Always" permission on iOS or "Background location" permission on Android, while you are clocked in to a shift. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Revoking location may disable automatic clock-in/out and Find Tech features.
Camera
With your permission, we use the camera to capture job site photos and customer signatures attached to service orders. Photos and signatures are uploaded to our secure backend and associated with the relevant work order. We do not access the camera in the background.
Push notifications
With your permission, we send push notifications for clock-in reminders, manager location requests, and service order updates. Push tokens are stored on our servers to deliver these notifications.
Usage data
We collect device type, OS version, app version, and crash diagnostics to improve the Service.
How we use information
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Verify time and attendance for our customers (your employer)
- Respond to manager-initiated location pings during work hours
- Send service-related notifications
- Improve and secure the Service
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only:
- With your employer (the FieldIQ customer organization you belong to) for time, attendance, and job site management purposes
- With service providers acting on our behalf (Supabase for database, Cloudflare for hosting, Expo for push delivery)
- When required by law
Data retention
We retain time clock and location records for the duration of your employment with the customer organization, plus seven years for payroll records compliance. You may request deletion by contacting heykarch44@gmail.com.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. To exercise these rights, email heykarch44@gmail.com.
Children
The Service is not intended for users under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new effective date at the top of this page and notify users of material changes.
